Same as it's been all season:

A.) Blitz the hell out of the ND QB.

When Golson is under pressure he 1.) panics and throws INT's and 2.) fumbles because he has small hands and darts around in the backfield carrying the ball in his right hand only. Defensive players should all have their hands up because the ND QB is only 5'11" and can't see down the field.

B.) Cover #88 WR Corey Robinson, ND's "go to" guy.

Look for Robinson in the right flat (QB Golson is right handed and the majority of his throws are from and to the right side of the field) and on crossing routes and disguised picks.

Coach Brian Kelly always looks to pass the ball first. That is because he is a disciple of Mouse Davis and Tiger Ellison the originator of the "Run and Shoot" offense. While ND fans are crying and screaming "run the ball, run the ball" that is not likely to happen as long as Brian Kelly is the coach at ND. Kelly's version of the "run and shoot option" worked really well at Cincinnati when he could get away with pick plays but now days DC's are all figuring out how to beat it.

The "run and shoot" option basically died due to 3 things:

1.) Heavy blitzing
2.) New rules prohibiting pick plays.
3.) Defensive Coaches everywhere figuring it out.

Kelly's system will beat lesser teams but lose to Power 5 teams with superior athletes. That is essentially why LSU is a 7 1/2 point favorite over ND.
