the only thing considered was coming up with enough booster support to cover the buyout responsibilities. There was no apparent consideration as to who his replacement might be. UT had no one lined up to accept the job once he was gone. We therefore got set back an additional 4 years with the Kiffin/Dooley fiasco. We went from competing for championships to being passed by Kentucky and Vandy.

For the sake of your Bayou Bengals, if the trigger is in fact pulled on Les, the administration better have a commitment from a top tier candidate waiting in the wings. Otherwise, it may take 2 or 3 hires to finally get it right, to where the programs performance meets your expectations. It's a big gamble if you don't.
