- Says they have a better sense of the areas they need to get better in and they've found some guys they're counting on to play more prominent roles than last year.
- Thinks the team is much more balanced offensively and defensively. There's a lot more continuity on defense this year compared to throwing a bunch of transfers out there.
- No injuries of any kind from spring practice.
- They weren't able to be very aggressive on defense due to all the young and inexperienced players. Thinks they now have a combination of experience, confidence and athleticism that'll allow them to be more aggressive.
- Doesn't see "any position we need to be in the transfer portal for other than DT."
- They've always felt Ka'Morreun Pimpton was going to be a dynamic pass catcher, just needed him to understand the offense and become more physical as a blocker. Thinks he's established that this spring. Obviously, he won't unseat Taylor, but they feel he can compliment him well. On the other side, they feel Mac Markway has improved as a pass catcher and route runner. They're very pleased with the development at that position.
- Likes the spring game because it gives players in key positions go out and compete. They don't care about the score, they want to see guys like Pimpton, the two RB's and some new players get some real action. Says by watching you'll be able to tell who they want to see because they'll play more than the others.
- Joel Rodgers has been limited due to his shoulder, but he's starting to get healthier and is finding his way. Dashawn Mcbryde is rangy and athletic and he feels he'll play a lot on Saturday's Spring Game.
- Chris Hilton has had a really good spring. Says CJ Daniels has settled in nicely the last week or so as well. They have a lot of depth at WR, which is one of his favorite aspects of that room. Thinks they have seven guys who can contribute.
- Says Shelton Sampson is "beginning to emerge" despite running with the third team most of the spring.
- Calls the QB2 position "a battle" and "they'll play a lot on Saturday."
- Feels West Weeks has had a very, very good spring. He's going to play a lot in the spring game as well. Says they have a very high confidence in terms of depth in the linebacker position.
- Daimion Ramos has had a really good offseason. Says the numbers last year were fabulous, says if he makes the kick against Missouri (which they still feel he made), he'd have been up at 85% and be top-15 in the country. Also really liked he made every PAT.
