- Says we are still giving them too many points. The last three point of the game bothers Kim because it allowed them to get over 70 points. Made changes in the third and fourth quarter but the only thing that will change defensively is to just keep working at it. She said fatigue set in early and when you start conference everyone is hyped and excited.
- Says Flau'jae got so many minutes as a freshman last year and that allowed her to get more comfortable this year. Her and Angel are the two most experienced players out there and Flau'jae played phenomenal tonight.
- Says she challenges Mikaylah and tells everyone to just wait until she is a sophomore.
- Says she challenged Flau'jae to not turn the basketball over, and says you have to deliver passes. What she did last year and is what the world revolves around is making shots. She is trying to guard the best player and Kim is trying to make her an all around player. A great thing about Flau'jae is she took her out the game last year and she put the towel over her head, Kim asked if she was upset about not playing 40 minutes and Flau'jae said yeas and Kim let her know that she will not play 40 minutes every game.
- Says Flau'jae can be that consistent defensive player and she has so much talent around her. We still scored 92 points but we were not on fire. We can score points at all positions and she has to make Flau'jae understand that she needs to be there on defense.
- Says she saw that the NCAA agrees to $920 million, 8-year deal with ESPN for women's March Madness. Espn has been good at the women's basketball and glad they fought for it.
- Angel got fatigue early. When we play teams like Missouri who shoot the three ball, her bigs Angel and Morrow are guarding them. She thought Morrow and Reese did it collectively as her bigs and they are basically guards defensively. Reese had every opportunity to get frustrated when missing shots but Kim kept telling Van Lith "keep giving it to Reese she will get it."
- Poa has taken the most charges any kid Kim has coached. It doesn't phase her and Kim loves how Poa is selfless. Kim was not ready to give the kids on the bench minutes because she does not think they were ready for that style of play but they will be. Says we are not a slow team and we can push the ball with power. Thought Morrow and Angel did that better in the second half.
