A source tells me that LSU has recently shown some interest in 2025 quarterback Ryan Montgomery, who's already nearing 6-4, 200 pounds. It's still really early in a potential relationship between staffers and Montgomery, but it is the first step and Brian Kelly and Brian Polian are aware of Montgomery from their time at Notre Dame.
He has offers from Ohio State, Notre Dame, Penn State, Michigan, Tennessee and lots of interest from other schools.
Clearly, we're a long way away from a decision but the Tigers are looking ahead and searching the country for the next group of signal-callers in Baton Rouge.
Look for LSU to take one scholarship QB in 2023 with offers out to Arch Manning, Dante Moore, Nico Iamaleava, Chris Vizzina, Dylan Lonergan, Jaden Rashada and Rickie Collins, who I know some on the new staff really like his upside.
