i went through the roster and counted about 20 scholarship players that in my opinion will not ever make much contribution during their career at LSU. That's about 23% of the scholarship roster. I believe LSU gets the best of the best at DB. They will always get skilled players on offense good enough to win a NC. What I see is a consistent pattern the last 5 years of Miles and staff just not getting enough elite OL guys, DL guys, and LB's. Again my assessment is in comparison to Bama because they are setting the bar. IMO LSU will always be talented enough to win 9 games. But to win 11+ we need to recruit better at the positions I noted. I believe this year the Achilles Heel will be the positions discussed.....OL. DL. LB.
