-- Five-star DE Jayden Wayne and his dad had a great two-day visit to LSU over the weekend and they got to see plenty in those days. He thinks highly of Jamar Cain and even spent time with Maason Smith. I'll have a full recap coming from Wayne once we link up on the phone later today.
-- Georgia four-star safety Michael Daugherty took an official last weekend then an official to North Carolina this weekend. The Tarheels certainly made it interesting just days before he plans on announcing (Wednesday at 7 p.m.) but sounds like the Tigers are still feeling good with where they stand with him. I do think regardless of where he commits Wednesday this one could have some drama and a battle until the end because Daugherty still wants to take his other three officials later this year.
-- There's been some chatter about Texas four-star CB Ryan Yaites too and he might be getting close. He released a top four of LSU, Texas Tech, Michigan State and Cal in February and the Tigers quickly got him on campus with his mom in early March. A source tells me its believed that LSU leads and if he announces soon it very well could be in favor of the Tigers. He told me last night he still plans on visiting Michigan State, who many believe has been the leader, next weekend and will be back in Baton Rouge the following weekend for LSU's spring game.
