first it's good to see Andre Anthony back out there doing some work. He looks like he has filled out a little bit more and added some nice muscle. He had a pretty strong night getting after the QB and chasing plays down. Showed off his quickness and was able to put pressure in the backfield.
Second Sci Martin did some really nice work. His quickness off the edge was too much for his opponent tonight, but he also showed some very nice upper body strength. He pressed his guy several times to create separation and used a variety of pass rush moves. He's still a little light but I love his motor, quickness and his improved strength was a nice touch.
Then there was Stephon Taylor. I've been pretty tough on the big guy and his every down motor is still something that can improve but he really flashed at times. Played with good leverage and showed some strength.
On the recruiting front, Sci Martin has eliminated Missouri and now has a top four of LSU, TCU, OU, and Utah. He plans to visit TCU in December or January but he does not have anything scheduled yet.
Taylor is not planning to take any visits until after the season. He plans to name a top 5 soon and it looks like LSU, TCU, and Florida State will make the cut when he releases his list.
