You would have thought we were getting killed with all the groaning and moaning. IMO, It was about what I expected. We saw six or eight new wrinkles and we saw CC come down to ground lever per request from Brandon Harris. THAT was a good thing as I believe Harris NEEDS him close to help settle him down and it showed last night. He settled down about half way through the third quarter and started hitting his receivers and hitting them in stride. He threw to the backs out of the backfield, He threw to the TEs, He threw to four different WRs. We actually saw him throw a few WR screens as well as seeing a four Receiver set.
Although the calls were not as smooth as we would like... I believe that CC is getting there. I believe he is still trying to call a College game like he did a Pro game. He is learning and it's starting to show. Now throw in some more zone reads for BH and with another year together we might just see what we have all wanted to for a while now.
The ONE thing that will have to be ironed out and ironed out fast is WHO will be our new DC? I hope it doesn't take long to find out.
