I am remodeling my kitchen and need some advice. I have a Brother-in-Law who has worked for a few different contractors and seems to know what he's doing when we have done stuff together in the past. He certainly has a feel for what I want in the remodel. He promises to hire good subs, and especially knows this tile guy who is one of the best in the business. Of course, he will be cheaper than if I go out and hire a real-deal contractor.
So, do I hire my BIL? I am afraid if he messes anything up, I will get the "I told you so" look from the wife for infinity.
