An interesting random stat from the Advocate - it was the first time since 1906 that LSU has finished a season without two consecutive losses, and that team only played 13 games.

Also, LSU finished #1 in the SEC in batting average (.322) and #1 in the SEC in team ERA (2.91). No clue when the last time that happened was.
