"Alabama owns the Tigers"
Robinson, the former Crimson Tide All-American defensive lineman, has spent time leading up to this week’s NFL Scouting Combine in training at Traction Sports Performance, which is 5 miles from Tiger Stadium.
“It’s a little weird,” Robinson said on my radio show of training this close to one of his biggest rivals. “I walked into Fuzzy’s (a local eatery) and said ‘Roll Tide.’ ”
Pointing out that he never lost to LSU during his college career, Robinson added, “I feel like we own the Tigers.”
He’s right. Alabama has won five in a row in the series, including a 30-16 romp last season in Tuscaloosa. It was a dominant defensive performance, especially against LSU running back Leonard Fournette, who entered that game averaging just under 200 rush yards per game.
