It looks pretty obvious to me that the entire make of this team has matured a lot from last year. Their is so much talent on offense. Just think how much the offensive depth ramps up when Johnson, Dillon, Jackson, Guice, and Brossette all arrive on campus. All the QB has to do is operate this high powered engine. If Johnson is better than Chark and Quinn their is noway the Tigers should ever again be threatened with 7,8-9 defenders in the box. The tight ends and the RB's being invoked in this passing game is so exciting to see. Leonard Fournette has got to be so looking forward to this coming season. From my limited perspective I think that LSU's woeful offense is a thing of the past.
Defense on the other hand your guess is as good as mine. I am more concerned that the defense with the lack of depth of LB's and DE's might be our Achilles heel albeit a small one that can be absorbed. We have to keep that injury bug away for sure. The scheme employed by the new coaching staff will be a mystery until the game time. Questions marks will be around Tuehma, Bain, Neal, Paris, Bowers, Tolliver for sure as these newcomers will get thrown into major action similar to what the youngsters on Offense endured last season. But with that said, I am extremely encouraged by the overall talent and coaching direction this team is headed.
