Reports are that since Kevin O'Sullivan has officially withdrawn his name from the Texas job search, that Texas may now turn its attention to David Pierce, Tulane HC. However, Bama has made it clear Pierce is their 1st option; he'll no doubt wait and see if UT is available first, but if the Horns drag their feet, it's expected Pierce will jump on the Bama offer.
What's all this mean for LSU? That Cannizaro would get an immediate offer from Tulane, and, of course Andy would jump on it. This should be a huge concern for PM, as Andy is the one guy who could effectively recruit NOLA, and be a serious threat to LSU there. Plus he has an enormous amount of connections with LA HS coaches around the state.
Will be very interesting to follow, but for now let's just hope Pierce stats put.
