Congratulations to Coach Dennis Shaver and the LSU Track & Field team for placing 5th in the Men's NCAA Outdoors Championship. If not for a hamstring injury to Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake, they may have won the NC.
The SEC had 6 of the top 7 teams including Florida winning the Nat'l Championship.
I couldn't help but remember a few years ago when Tony Brown said he was committing to Bama because of their Track & Field team, it made me scratch my head at the time and say, huh? Bama wasn't one of the 6 SEC teams in that grouping. In order, it was UF (1), Ark (2), aTm (3), LSU (5), Tenn (6), Miss St (7). We got Jamal Adams instead of Tony Brown and obviously got the better player and person of the two.
