I must commend our coaches and catchers for the incredible patience they have shown with some of the pitchers on this club. You just don't know what you are going to get out of the bullpen. Many of our pitchers struggle with their release point, and seem not to be able to correct it during the game. It is amazing to me at the number one baseball school in the nation that LSU has several pitchers that cannot sniff the plate, and still get the ball handed to them in a tight game. This is a very good club, but I just do not think we have enough pitching. I miss the days when coach Bertman would just about take the ball out of a relievers hands if he did not throw strikes.
