I have seen some information from other sites in threads and wanted to make sure y'all get the latest information straight from us with as much as we can say. Here's a few additional things I wanted to add for our subscribers only, not for social media or other sites:

-- This is not a hamstring thing like I've seen some ask about, it is a foot injury. The same injury that kept him sidelined throughout fall camp.

-- It is still being looked at by doctors to get multiple opinions on the severity of it so the timeline to heal could vary depending on that, but all indications I received is this is not something that heals in a week or two.

-- Let's also keep in mind that Stingley is considered the top CB prospect for next year's draft likely going in the top 5 or 10 which means millions on the line, maybe even $30 million. Life-changing money for him and his family. If this injury happened during his freshman or sophomore year, I'd call it minor because he would have the chance to come back and redeem himself on the field without his NFL stock dropping. For someone of Stingley's caliber, this is very serious because of his NFL potential and what's on the line.

-- Whether the injury can heal on its own or if it requires surgery, it's not a quick fix which is why Stingley missed weeks of fall camp. No one is saying specifically on how much time he could miss, but in my opinion, and MY opinion only, I'm not sure we see him suit up again this fall. I believe he and his family will have a very tough business decision to make.
