The fact of the matter is that there were no noteworthy LB's in-state this year and only one noteworthy DE (which LSU got). That makes it a lot harder to recruit that position. Combine it with Chavis' notorious lack of interest in recruiting and it gets even tougher. Miles made the hires he needed to make and LSU did exactly what they should have done when backed into a corner - they swung for the fences with Lewis, Peters, CeCe, Prince, Key, etc. They got one and almost got another but that's the way OOS recruiting goes at times.
