LSU is wrapping up its first spring under Brian Kelly Saturday in Tiger Stadium.

A few additional notes:
-- LSU and Jamar Cain are looking at four-star tight end Jaxon Howard, who will be in town this weekend, more on the defensive line side of the ball than TE. Howard must be okay with that because he tells me he will take an official to LSU this summer.
-- Like I mentioned in the article, five-stars Dante Moore and Carnell Tate are the only two official visitors this weekend and it's a huge opportunity for the Tigers to make a move for both. There's some confidence behind the scenes that LSU has a legit chance at landing Moore, who might be more open to playing down south than some people think. Many think it's between Notre Dame and Michigan for the Detroit native, but it sounds like playing for Brian Kelly at LSU is intriguing to him. Also, the Tigers hope to get Shelton Sampson on campus at some point this weekend so he and Moore and Tate can spend a little time together. If they do, that means not only would the Tigers be hosting Moore and Tate but also having Sampson and Jalen Brown all on campus together -- that's a lot of offensive star power in this 2023 class, plus Tigers also after No. 1 WR Brandon Inniss, who plans on visiting this summer.
