That it may be coming down to Jimbo and his willingness to move or Mel Tucker. There is some real smoke around both names and it sounds like they are very high in the pecking order right now. Nobody seems to think anything will transpire with Dabo and Kiffin seems like too much of a wild card for them to roll the dice on.
There are some positive feelings about Luke Fickell, but they feel they get a lot of what Fickell brings in Mel Tucker, but Tucker has far more experience and is more familiar with this region and conference. Tucker's extremely aggressive recruiting style is also intriguing to LSU brass. I can attest to this from first hand knowledge--the guy goes hard. Or as the kids say, he goes hard in the paint. The biggest issue with Tucket at the moment as that the guy could still be coaching in the postseason and LSU wants someone in place this month.
They aren't the only two candidates, but they feel like the most likely two at this moment in time. And yes, there is some belief that Jimbo may just make the move.
