there's been much discussion about Orgeron's decision to kick the FG instead of going for the TD on the 6 inch line at TE end of the game
My thoughts : LSU has 2 timeouts left . With 2 minutes left on the clock . If you go for it and are stopped at the 6 inch line ND takes it over deep .
LSU Defense could sell out and try to drop ND for a safety . If not you call time out after 2 ND plays . They run on 3rd down . If you hold they are forced to punt with their backs to the back line .
We probably get the ball back inside the 50yd line with over a minute left . Time to win the game even with an iffy FG kicker .
Of course a successful 6 inch TD makes the point moot . What are the odds of making those 6 inches ? 90%
