signed a player from the Monroe area since 2013. When LSU could hit the road recruiting, they went to Monroe in force. While Peveto is responsible for Monroe, Orgeron is the back up. Orgeron was the star at the meetiing. Prior to LSU coaches speaking, several area Monroe coaches spoke. West Monroe Coach Alredge said he felt LSU did not recruit Monroe like they should.

"The high school coaches that attended the caravan came away impressed with LSU's renewed commitment to Northeast Louisiana.

"They realize just because they're LSU you can't leave an area unattended and I thought that happened somewhat the past few years," West Monroe head coach Jerry Arledge said. "I think they'll be back in here wholeheartedly and full speed ahead the next few years recruiting this area."
