I came back to say a couple of things and to find out what Mike S has to say about this fiasco as well as understand why he strongly believes Jimbo Fisher is coming to LSU.
First off, I want to say I am extremely embarrassed as to how this matter is being handled by Alleva! I'm not upset that Miles is being let go, hell, I've been hoping this day would have come sooner. There is no doubt that Miles is a nice guy. The problem is he's not paid $4.5mil to be nice. He needed to win more games and bigger games i.e. Alabama. It was not expected that he beat Saban every year. However, the way he's lost to Alabama over the last several year is egregious! He's also started losing to Arkansas and Ole Miss annually. He could also sprinkle in losing to Auburn. The icing on the cake for me was him losing to Miss St last year. That told me all I needed to know that Miles was never going to win big at LSU again. He's got to go and there is no two ways about it. Although next year‘s team will be more experienced, I would not expect the results to vary greatly. Underachieving with exceptional players has become Les' calling card.
Second of all, can someone please explained to me why in the hell did Miles hire Steele as D/C. Did he not know about this guy's past? It's become quite clear that Miles' deficiency were masked by Chavis' defense and that's not saying a whole lot. I told my buddy that this hire would cost Les his job and it did.
Lastly, Mike S. I would like to know why you feel so strongly that Jimbo is coming back to LSU? I hate all this BS of someone's dad, brother, sister, dog, cat, or chickens knowing someone who knows someone that claim that they know this or that person who's close to the situation that claim Jimbo is coming back to LSU. I obviously trust your sources, but they've been wrong also in the past. We can all speculate, but we won't know who the guy is until he's hired per the school.
Not to be hypocritical of myself, but one of my atty's who I've know for 10 years is an FSU grad both undergrad and law degree and texted me tonight letting me know that Jimbo is staying put. He met with the FSU President tonight and the discussion is very favorable of him staying at FSU. He also went on to tell me that all the rumors of Jimbo not being happy at FSU is only posted by LSU fans. He indicates Jimbo is very happy at FSU.
