just got off the phone with a friend of mine. He lettered 3 years for LSU as an OL( never a starter). Coached OL at a JC in Texas for 8 years ( no longer).
He follows LSU faithfully although not recruiting . He's a curmudgeon that always says that All those stars don't mean Shit. That's how he talks.
He loves OL play and believes that there's no other positions that count except OL.
High praise for him is something like " Aw, he's alright or he's OK."
He's at the scrimmage Saturday and of course observing the OL play with a trained eye. He said that this monstrous OL gets in the action and repeatedly devours DL . He punches someone nearby and asks " who the hell is that ", thinking that he knew every varsity OL . Told that it was big Teuhema the new Freshman OL he couldn't stop watching him.,
His exact words to me " that big kid is very, very good. " he actually used the word very twice which I've never heard him use ever . He said that kid will be hard to keep off of the field in 2015. He went on to say that when big T was in Ethan Pocic ,whom he likes a lot , played Center. Said that we might see that combination as the season goes on if Teuhema progresses. He konws Center play and thinks that Pocic will play center in the NFL.
