to be careful what you wish for. This whole thing has such a good chance in ending in a huge cluster f***. First, we have some big money people that couldn't keep their damn pie holes shut and go blabbing to Rabalais. Then we have Rabalais writing and appearing on any news outlet he can every waking hour. We have a coach that deserves the utmost respect, regardless of how you feel about him, being treated like total garbage. We have an AD that could have helped diffuse the situation, do some degree, by coming out and publicly supporting CLM (regardless of what wheels were in motion), that has been more silent than Helen Keller. Where has that left us? IMO, this is where we are:
1. We have a coach still, that says he's not leaving. He's had no support (except for some former players and some national media - which is making us look bad). IF he were to come back now, this can't be good for LSU. The whole world would know he would be given only 1 year to turn things around - including his staff, players and all future recruits. Let that sink in.

2. All of the eggs are in the basket for JF. Good you say. Well, maybe, maybe not. How much, if we could land JF, is this going to cost us? Has anyone even looked at his contract? What is HIS buyout? What salary AND PERKS are we going to need to greatly exceed to get him? What if, Jimbo has NO desire to come to LSU and he and Sexton are just playing us to get that golden egg from FSU?

3. JF is out of the picture. Where are we now? Who is next? I know we are all proud as hell to be LSU fans and think that no one in their right mind would turn down the opportunity to coach here. Well, newsflash - It can, and most likely will happen. That may leave us with a 4th-7th choice as our new head coach.
I don't have the answers, that is for sure. But, the more I think about how this has gone down, the more pissed off I am getting. I know some of y'all will likely post something along the lines of "who gives a shit, it can't get any worse that the past four years." Oh, my friends, it can, it most certainly can.
