We can still have an effective running game with LF . Also it seems it would be easier to recruit dual threat QBs and have them ready to play sooner and have a better chance of having a back-up available in case of injury.
It seems we spend a long time developing our QBs for under center and we don't have someone ready in the pipeline.
In fairness we have had some under center QBs recruited and it didn't work out for various reasons.
