New DC : Ed Orgeron
I know that every one wants a standing HCs to take over but Smart is more than ready and is YOUNG . He has learned from the master . He knows Baton Rouge. He's available . He will get a HC job soon.
It's pretty well known that Kiffen is leaving Alabama after this season .the guy can develop QBs with the best
He's run balanced offenses . He knows Kirby Smart and Ed Orgeron from past working together.
Ed Orgeron may be a stretch as a DC but with Kirby Smart's defensive background you would think that those 2 would handle the D pretty well. Of course we'd retain Ed's recruiting as well as most of this recruiting class.
Would Smart keep Frank Wilson or Cory Raymond ? He would have to build a staff from scratch.
It's nice to insist on a standing HC but sometimes the best ones are content where they are and aren't available without breaking the bank.
