Considering JF is the next coach,.. what impact will he have on the stability of the program?
Recruiting? We stand with the number 1 class. Defections have started. Some want to play for Coach Miles, can Coach Fisher sway them back in the fold? IMHO. Jimbo is one of the few hires that would give LSU the immediate clout, to give top prospect confidence. His moving from an established program, is also a selling point to how much confidence he has in LSU. It also says he believes LSU offers him a path to the national championship.
JF has a very good recruiting record. I believe he has the stature to save this great recruiting class.
Assistants? Can Coach Fisher bring a product that shows Off/Def/Special Teams dominance, consistency and lack of penalties, with the hiring of his staff? Will the new staff bring upgrades, obvious in play on the field? IMHO Coach Miles biggest fault has been in hiring some questionable coaches, passing over very qualified people. Who will Jimbo decide on? Do you believe Coach Fisher has shown a penchant for the right hires?
Overall program? Coach Fisher has established himself among the top college coaches. He is not some up and comer. He is a big name in the coaching circles... and we need a quick hire. Not sold that he is the absolute best possibility, yet, Alleva does not have my trust ,with who he may think is better. Nor, the chance of his picking a golden ticket, out of a hat. What are your thoughts on Coach Fisher's ability to run the program?
