Cam Caminiti has a phone call scheduled with then Arizona head baseball coach Jay Johnson during the CWS, happens to be the same day Vanderbilt defeats Arizona to end Arizona's season. His dad tells Cam that you gotta think about what Jay's going through and he may not want to talk. He's like Dad that's true. He makes the call. Jay talks to him from the dugout for 25 minutes and then his dad 15 minutes later.
The dad asks Jay you don't have to talk to us tonight I know it's a bad night. Jay's response? If we can get Cam to U of A I believe I won't have to feel this way again.
