Looking at the standings as of 5/8, the Tigers stand tied for 3rd with Ole Miss just 2 games out of 1st place in the SECW with TN and FL in our last 2 series. aTm is currently in the lead and has series against USC & Ole Miss the last 2 weeks. Miss St has the easiest remaining series with Auburn & Arky and Ole Miss has IMO the hardest remaining schedule against UK & aTm.
Here's hoping for another sweep against TN (although they've played tough the last 2 weeks against Vandy & FL) and pray we play our best baseball of the year against FL in the final home stand. I predict that If we can win 4 or more of our remaining 6 games, it should put us right up there with aTm in 2nd place of the SECW standings going into the SEC tournament. Miss St looks likes it has the best shot at winning the SECW for the regular season but baseball is a funny game. You never know when a possum may influence the outcome of an otherwise blowout game.
