I've always respected Les but the way he had conducted himself throughout the last few weeks is quite amazing. I have no idea how he had managed to hold himself together the way he has especially with all the scrutiny by fans and the media. Frankly, I don't know how he can stand on the sideline this Saturday. He must feel anger, embarrassment, sadness ect.

This post has nothing to do with his coaching ability. He is someone to be admired as a human being, and that's way better than being admired as a coach. I know people love to talk about the greatness of Saban, but Saban will never have touched as many lives-for the better- as Les Miles. I would much rather that stat when it's all said and done.

Miles may have the last laugh. If he is kicked to the curb he will have $15M coming to him plus a coaching job-if he wants it-a week later. I would probably flip LSU the bird but Miles would never stoop so low. If he leaves he will be missed by many of us. I've never really felt proud that a certain individual was the coach at my school but definitely always admired Les. It says a lot when just about everyone of his former players speak of him with admiration and say they would love for their son to play for him.

Sorry for the hearts and flowers post but I was really moved by his weekly radio show this evening. He was comforting fans. It sort of summed of the man.
