Who on the roster do you think will come out of nowhere to have a major impact?
I'm going to go with Debo Jones. Let's face it, Chief was hard on LB's, right or wrong, and I really feel like that has affected Debo's potential to contribute every bit as much as Chief's refusal to play Beckwith did.
Whether or not Beck fully knew the defense is, to a point, irrelevant, because once Chief put him on the field, Welter literally did not play ONE single more snap. Welter wasn't an SEC LB, God bless his heart (I do love the kid), but that proved Chief's stubbornness.
Long story short, I expect Steele to unleash the missile that is Debo on SEC QBs. Getting 2nd and 3rd and longs is absolutely huge in defending these big-play spread offenses, and Debo IMO will play a big role in that.
