I started off the season 1-0 with the Over 66.5 for the Cal/Hawaii game last Friday night, so its always nice to start the season off with a victory.

I'm looking at the games for opening night tomorrow and here are some of my thoughts, and I would appreciate your comments.

South Carolina +3.5 vs Vanderbilt - - - I bet big on USC on this one, am I missing something here? How in the hell is Vanderbilt favored? They were terrible last year, and while South Carolina isn't great, I can't imagine the talent at Vandy is even close.

South Carolina/Vandy Under 42.5 - - - I expect the game to be very low scoring either way. Neither team has much of an offense, and with Muschamp leading the 'Cocks I expect their D to be nasty.

South Carolina Straight Up - - - Not only do I like the spread in this one, I also took USC straight up because I expect them to win this game.

Oregon State +13 vs Minnesota - - - I know the Gophers are supposed to be better this year and have a nice quarterback, but I don't think they are this much better than the Beavers. OSU had a bad year last year, but has a good coach I expect to perform better this year.

Oregon State/Minnesota Under 55.5 - - - I don't expect this to be as low scoring as USC/Vandy, but I think this line is a little high.

Appalachian State +20.5 vs Tennessee - - - I expect the Vols to be very good this year, but the Mountaineers are also very good and are a sleeper Group of 5 time to make a nice run. I think they keep this game really interesting for a while with Tennessee eventually winning by 10-17 points.

Thoughts?
