Just did some research about Cecil the Deisel and the comparison with LF this year.
Ironically, Cecil's first two games were At MOO State, and then home at Auburn, just like LF's first two games this year.
In the moo state game, Collins rushed for 172 and against Auburn he rushed for 232 for a total of 404 yards in his first two games.
LF on the other hand rushed for 159 at Moo State and 229 against Auburn for a total of 387.
So actually Cecil's totals were slightly better than LF's even though we needed Cecil for the whole game against Auburn, while LF was taken out early.
I believe I heard Verne the man say yesterday that LF's two game totals were the most for an LSU running back in the first two games of the year, but that would be incorrect. However, in Cecil's year, we did play a game before the Moo State and Auburn games, so they were actually our 2nd and 3rd games of the year, but Cecil was suspended for that game, and his first two games were the referenced onces
