On offense we will have 9 starters returning and 4 others with starting experience, assuming Hawkins turns pro and Pocic returns:
QB: Harris
RB; Fournette
FB: Moore
WR: Dupre
WR: Dural
TE: Gordon or Jeter (Jeter actually started more games)
LT: ?
LG: Clapp
C: Pocic
RG: Teuhema
RT: ?
On defense we will have 9 returning starters and 4 others with starting experience, assuming White turns pro and Beckwith returns:
DE: Key (8 starts)
DT: LaCouture
DT: Godchaux
DE: Neal
OLB: ?
MLB: Beckwith
NB: Thomas (9 starts)
CB: Toliver (7 starts)
CB: ?
SS: Adams
FS: Jefferson (8 starts)
18 out of 22 starters returning, I tried to call out the ones anyone would question. There's a minimum of 10 NFL players there. We should be the prohibitive favorite to win the SEC. If we can supplement the talent at DT and DE with some stout run stoppers in this recruiting class we should be much stronger on defense. I think Key will become a difference maker. OLB could be a concern but we started in the Nickel in 9 out of 11 games anyway.
Before anyone asks, Alabama will likely have 5 returning starters on offense and 3 returning starters on defense. The game is in BR.
I know everyone will point to coaching and the poor gameplans this year but 2016 sets up very nicely. We will have a very talented team and our coach(es) will be coaching for his(their) job. SEC Champs or bust! Extremely high expectations...
