Brooks got the official scholarship offer to the Tigers from the head of "DBU" himself, Corey Raymond.
"It was Coach Raymond," he said. "He called me and we started talking and he was complimenting my game and how I play. He had watched a lot of game film on me and he told me that he was impressed. I took it as the ultimate compliment. To be able to talk to a coach from one of my favorite schools growing up was great, and to get an offer was even better. I can remember going crazy when Coach Raymond officially extended the offer. I mean the defending National Champions want me to come play for them."
Brooks said Raymond's reasoning for the offer was simple.
"He said I'm long, fast and explosive," he said. "They can use that a ton at LSU."
