- Aleah Finnegan was out on floor and bars with an arm injury. Says imaging looks fine, but they had to pull her because she was in discomfort.
- He knew it was just a matter of time for them to get things right on beam. They see them do quality routines everyday in practice, so they knew it was coming, and they finally saw the results today with a team score of 49.425.
- Said he knew Kiya Johnson was back from her achilles injury, but she needed to get right mentally and fully trust herself. Today, she finished with a 9.900, 9.850, 9.900 and 10.000 in her four events. Said he thought about pulling her from floor after all five gymnasts hit their mark, but they wanted to let her play it out.
- Calls Haleigh Bryant "gold." Says there's no words to describe them. It's not just their gymnastics, it's their personalities. Said as a coach, you can wait a lifetime to have a duo that can do what Haleigh and Kiya can do.
- Calls Sierra Ballard a "fire starter" which is why she leads off on beam and floor. Her first routines help settle in the rest of the gymnasts. Said he was "furious" with her score, thought it should've been much higher than a 9.875. Says there's no kid on this campus that reps LSU harder than Sierra.
- Felt good to go into beam with a lead and hold it down. Says he never lost confidence in them on beam, but it was reassuring.
- Thinks they have the best floor routines in the nation. Said if they go into floor with a lead, they feel really confident.
- Gives props to Savannah Schoenherr. She's had a rough start to the season, but tonight she popped off with a 9.925 on bars and vault.
- In three seasons and three meets as head coach, Clark won his 50th meet at LSU.
- Kiya Johnson said her floor routine was really fun. The five before hit, so she just wanted to have fun and complete her routine.
- Johnson - who tore her achilles on floor against Kentucky last year - said her journey back has been difficult, but she has the best teammates and support staff to help her get back. This was her first floor event in the PMAC, and she scored a perfect 10.
- Haleigh Bryant said they didn't do anything different to prepare for this meet. Said they emphasized sticking their landings and the little details, and that's how they scored so well tonight.
- Bryant says she does everything for this team and this school. She's not focused on becoming the "greatest LSU gymnast of all time."
