My longtime family friend and one of my dad's best friends Henry Tolusso passed this week from a battle with Cancer. He hired me after I graduated from LSU and was my mentor in business and like second father to me. My own personal "Mr. Myagi".
He and I had a special bond in LSU and loved his Tigers. He represented them all over the world in his business travels and in life. He moved back to Baton Rouge 3 years ago from East Texas and he loved poking fun at the Aggies. LSU beating A&M the last 5 years gave him lots of material. They told him stories of how the would beat LSU's ass after joining the SEC and his favorite saying was "You know in the SEC we play 4 quarters of football right?"
THE BEST PART:
While in hospice and on his death bed, he woke up, put on his LSU hat to watch the Tigers play Louisville in the Citrus bowl. Two of his good friends (pictured below) came to watch with him. In severe pain he cheered on the Tigers and once he knew they secured victory, he slipped into a coma before the end of the game never to regain consciousness. He died Tuesday.
I will miss him dearly.
