- Called tonight a must win game because of the RPI. Thought his team responded and came out hot.
- Says they have a lot of young guys they want to play, but it’s hard to find time for them.
- Said the decision to put Guidry in at second was to get Tommy White out of the game. No point in him getting hurt in a 20+ run game.
- Noot sprained his ankle and would’ve pitched tonight.
- Says they’ve been close to putting Fidel in on weekends. Still has a lot of trust in him.
- Thinks they still haven’t played their best ball.
- Feels the pitching staff is being much more aggressive recently. They’re attacking the strike zone more.
- Says Milazzo is such a good presence for the pitchers behind the plate. He’s a veteran who is really good at framing and blocking wild pitches.
- Calls Ashton Larson’s at bats “veteran.” He doesn’t swing and miss and he takes balls and swings at strikes.
- Says he felt good. Knocked some rust off at the plate and behind it. His shoulder got a little tight so they took the weekend off.
- Thinks the pitching staff has done a good job getting the first guy out recently which has helped their team ERA.
