- Gives credit to Rice. They were excited and came out strong.
- Says there was a lack of urgency from her team. At the end of the day, when you have 24 turnovers, you're going to look bad.
- Calls it an ugly basketball game, but they survived an advanced. Said it reminded her of the Elite Eight game against Miami last year. She would've turned the game off if she was watching as a fan.
- Some of the good things they did was hold them to under 40% shooting and not putting them at the FT line.
- Thought Mikaylah and Flau'jae both shot it well. That's a freshman and a sophomore leading their offense in the postseason.
- Continues to harp on the 24 turnovers, saying way too many of them were unforced.
- Thought Poa did fine. She frustrated her at times with turnovers, but is grateful she's healthy and thinks they're better with her on the court.
- Says Morrow's motor never stops. She has the same pace the entire game and it's always really good. She's been outstanding for them and feels they could use her more on offense at times.
- Says Angel brings a lot of attention, and she had an off game offensively, but she continued to battle on the glass and on defense. Says everyone's entitled to a bad game as long as they do something positive.
- Poa was nervous coming back from the injury, but felt it was good to get back out there.
- Williams was excited to play in her first March Madness game, but says this wasn't how they wanted to start their tournament run.
- Both said they needed to pick up the pace and they were out of rhythm early. They felt they picked it up in the third, but they were just hitting shots they usually hit. Early on, they were missing easy shots.
- Both feel they need to be more patient on offense to cut back on their 24 turnovers.
- Williams says it's kind of good to get tested early in the tournament, but they need to fix all their sloppy mistakes.
- Feel they have the best bigs in the country with Angel and Aneesah. Says it's always a point of emphasis to get the ball inside to them and let them go to work.
- Even though Angel had an off night offensively, she told her teammates she was going to focus on rebounding and defense, and she completely took over in those areas once she realized her shots weren't falling.
