- Said his team did a good job preparing for the game today. Felt they set a really good tone in the first and second inning.
- Called their at bats today "professional"
- Hopes Kling can be an everyday player. He's on the right track, just needs to keep playing at a high level.
- Thinks Braswell is getting there at the plate. He had a good Thursday and Sunday game. Says he got some mindset stuff squared away.
- Doesn't think they overused anybody in the pitching staff this weekend. Says Fidel threw two innings, but didn't throw a lot of pitches. He would've gone back out if they didn't score more.
- Says it's a good sign to see Coleman get his pitch count that high. Says it's a really good thing for them to have a pitcher of his caliber coming out for the fourth game of the weekend.
- Hopes to see his recruits in the Houston area show up for their games this weekend. Says if they see that environment, it'd be hard to turn down coming to college.
- Says Kade Anderson starting on Wednesday is a possibility and "probably a good one."
- Says he's been feeling comfortable at the plate all year, but he's still getting back into things after shoulder surgery. Today felt good.
- Reviewed what they needed to do to be better than the last couple of days and made a plan for today. They executed today.
- Feels that hitting in contagious. Once one guy sparks it, it keeps going.
- Jay told them not to swing at every first pitch and make sure they have strike discipline.
- Loves what Jared's doing at the plate and at first base. He's been playing really well defensively.
- Doesn't know where the nickname Monster came from for Steven Milam. He just came to campus with it and it stuck.
- Focus was on being more selective at the plate. Don't want to rush at bats, make them work for outs.
- Thinks the adjustments he made mechanically for hitting have been good, but his focus this week has been to calm down mentally after a slow start to the season.
- Loves what he's seen from Steven Milam so far. Says he's a beast who can do everything you need him to do.
- Said he's been in a lot of bases loaded positions recently and hasn't come through, so coming through today felt really good.
