Kim Mulkey
- Says she doesn't think one of her teams have ever held a team scoreless for an entire quarter. She also doesn't think she's ever been a part of a 47-0 run.
- Said her team came out sluggish again, so she switched to a full court press and it got them going and got them some transition buckets.
- Aalyah came to LSU with a bad ankle that kept swelling every time she played in high school. She made the USA team, but with the ankle injury, she decided to not play and get her ankle treated and it's really paid dividends. Thinks she's a lot more mobile now than she was just a few weeks ago and you could see that tonight in her play.
- Says it's an emphasis to play a lot of instate schools because she wants to make WBB in Louisiana better. She just wants to grow the game in our state.
- Doesn't know when Haley Van Lith will be back. Says she could play, it's just a nagging injury so they want to get her as close to 100% as possible.
- Feels this time is the best time to coach because players aren't in school. They get the players undivided attention and she thinks this is one of the most important times of the year.
- Thinks her defense is still catching up because of the missing pieces. They didn't have angel and now they don't have Haley or Sa'Myah Smith, so they're still working out the kinks. She sees improvement, but there's still some work to be done.
- Sa'Myah Smith is having her surgery after Christmas. Says she tore her ACL in her other knee, so she's been through it before. She still is attentive in practice and she knows she'll get another year of eligibility.
- Still believes this team is deeper than last years team despite all the losses to injuries or other reasons.
- Rosario says her teammates are her No. 1 supporters. When she brought home her 10th rebound for a double-double, the bench exploded and she said it felt really good to have teammates her support her so much.
- Velez says she's played with Rosario since middle school and one thing that stands out to her is her work ethic. She was excited to see all her hard work pay off.
- Rosario says Velez has become a better leader and playing with a point guard that knows how you play is huge and she feels it's one of the reasons she played well tonight.
- Velez says being able to sit on the bench and learn from Flau'jae, Mikaylah and HVL has helped her take another step in her game.
- Said the experience of playing an elite team is great for them.
- Felt they started off great, but they need to learn how to finish.
- Says games like this shakes you a little bit, but there are very few weaknesses they could find to exploit against this LSU team.
- He's never seen a freshman like Mikaylah Williams. Says they were trying to contain her, but once she got going, she was hard to stop.
- Thinks LSU has gotten better over the last couple of weeks and they're starting to lock in now. They tried to find some mismatches, and they tried to use Alva Mofalk down low, but they couldn't get anything going.
- Said LSU's pressure got to them and they made a lot of unforced errors. They finished the game with 36 turnovers.
