with two SEC opponents following the McNeese game I see the opener taking on added importance. This is especially so if Brandon Harris is declared the starter.
Ordinarily these cream puff openers allow the staff to get the kinks out. Get the sidelines organized , get the substitutions organized , allow players that won't see the field to get a taste of college ball.
The 2nd QB may be given a few series if the game gets out of hand. ( Nebraska vs McNeese in 2014 , the Cowboys scared the life out of the Huskers).
This game, if Harris wins the job , is especially important since he will need just about every snap in order to prep for the two next opponents.
