How possible is it that Alleva had his man, Jimbo, but due to the perceived national groundswell of support for Miles King Alexander stepped in and overruled him.
IMO, there were too many sources saying that Miles' firing was a done deal to be coincidence, and when asked at the post game presser when he learned that he would be staying on as coach he said that King Alexander told him prior to the game.
I must admit that early on I could never wrap my head around why Jimbo would want to leave FSU and the ACC to come to the Western Division of the SEC where, incidentally, all members are bowl eligible, but as the situation played out my thoughts turned to believing that Alleva MUST have his man.
