Is Brian Kelly on the verge of landing his first commitment? He could be later this week as four-star tight end Mac Markway plans to make his announcement this week: either Thursday or Friday.
When doing research yesterday and talking to sources about the situation, it sounds like it's down to LSU and Iowa with some within the Iowa side saying the pick is LSU. I went ahead and put in a FutureCast on Markway to the Tigers.
Markway, who is coming off of an ACL injury, visited Baton Rouge earlier this month with his parents. He got to reconnect with Brian Kelly, Brian Polian, Robert Steeples, who was his head coach in St. Louis and met with OC/TE coach Mike Denbrock.
Currently, the Tigers have one commitment in the 2023 class in WR Omarion Miller.
