Mendel Esnault, the older brother and father figure to Nick, apparently had a seizure this morning and passed away. Mendel played football with my son-in-law at Redemptorist and was a good friend of the family. Just last week, Mendel and one of his daughters went with us to see a Pelicans game for our 6yo grandson's birthday. He leaves behind a wife and two young daughters, one of which has special needs and is in a wheelchair.
