Just binged this series, all 4 seasons in about 2 weeks. While I love David Simon (The Wire), the writing wasn't quite as up to par (but then again what show is), however I found it to be the most amazing love letter to NOLA, by someone who has no real ties to the city. Wendell Pierce (Bunk) and John Goodman are locals / natives that, like much of the cast, made the cast so authentic. Really well done.
