I caught part of a discussion on the radio the other day where it was being said that the recruitment of Louisiana's elite football talent by out-of-state schools had diminished noticeably in the past year or two... not as a result of the pandemic but as a result of the relationships that Orgeron had forged and the lockdown he had begun to institute around the state, or at the very least around the players being targeted by LSU. Nick Saban and Jimbo Fisher were mentioned specifically, noting the lack of aggressive recruiting in Louisiana this year despite the deep pool of talent.
