Stop us if you've heard this one before, but...
Joe Burrow was exceptional Saturday.
The senior quarterback earned his second overall offensive grade of a 90 or better — both of which came in top-10 matchups against Texas (92.6) on Sept. 7 and now Florida (90.9).
His 92.4 PFF grade for passing, in particular, tied for the fourth-best this season against FBS competition behind Iowa State quarterback Brock Purdy's 93.5 against ULM, Burrow's 92.9 against Texas and UAB quarterback Tyler Johnston III's 92.7 against South Alabama.
The Gators had not previously allowed an opposing quarterback to finish a game with better than a 66.0 overall offensive grade or 72.8 passing grade.
Offensive line sets the table
Season-best performances by the offensive line helped set the table for big days by Burrow and the the 218-yard rushing attack.
Left tackle Saahdiq Charles returned to the lineup to lead the way with a solid overall score of 71.3, including marks of 73.0 in pass-blocking and 68.6 in run-blocking.
Center Lloyd Cushenberry III earned a season-best 70.7, highlighted by a season-best 69.6 run-blocking grade.
Left guard Adrian Magee's 82.7 pass-blocking grade was his second-best of the season, while his 73.9 run-blocking mark was his best thus far.
Right tackle Austin Deculus excelled in pass-protection with a 77.6 grade that marked his best since the season opener against Georgia Southern.
Another weapon in the arsenal
Thaddeus Moss continued to take on a larger role in the offense since Terrace Marshall Jr.'s injury at the end of September.
The junior tight end recorded his best overall offensive grade (78.1) since the season opener against Georgia Southern, including best receiving grade (67.9) since that week and his best run-blocking grade (82.2) to date.
Moss caught all three targets his way for 38 yards, including a pair of first downs, while helping spring running backs Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Tyrion Davis-Price for big gains on the ground and providing Burrow time to find receivers Justin Jefferson and Ja'Marr Chase through the air.
