LSU BASEBALL Purple-Gold World Series starts Wednesday

LSU's three-game World Series which concludes fall practice will begin Wednesday. Game 1 is set for 4 p.m. Central on Wednesday. Game 2 is set for 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Game 3 is set for 7 p.m. on Friday.

Here are the starting pitchers for the three games.
Game 1 -- John Valek for the Purple against Caleb Gilbert for the Gold
Game 2 -- Jake Godfrey for the Purple against Riley Smith for the Gold
Game 3 -- Alex Lange for the Purple against Jared Poche for the Gold
